Japanese Azuma-Bukuro "Alpujarreño Black and White" Bag – HOSHI*

The essence of Japan, hand-stitched in Spain

What happens when a librarian in Granada decides to pause the world to create with her hands? HOSHI* is born.

This Azuma-Bukuro is not just a bag; it's a cultural bridge. Inspired by traditional Japanese design and born from the friendship between Perla and Eriko, each piece captures the geometric simplicity of the East and adapts it to your modern lifestyle. The Alpujarra weave pattern in black and white evokes resilience and craftsmanship, transforming an everyday accessory into a collector's item.

Details that tell a story.

  • What makes a HOSHI* unique is the soul it carries within its embroidery:
  • Sashiko Technique: Each tag includes a star ("Hoshi") hand-stitched using Sashiko, the Japanese functional embroidery technique that celebrates the beauty of the stitch.
  • Quality Fabrics: Made with select cotton.
  • Handmade in Spain: Slow and ethical production, far removed from industrial manufacturing.

Technical Specifications

  • Material: 100% High-quality cotton.
  • Design: Alpujarra weave in shades of black and white.
  • Dimensions: 63 x 65 cm (Large capacity).
  • Origin: Spanish fabrics and handcrafted in Granada.

Hoshi - From Books to Needles

Behind HOSHI* is Perla Hachuel. A librarian and documentalist by profession, fate led her to trade digital platforms for thread and thimble during a life break to raise her daughter.

Thanks to the teachings of her friend Eriko and materials imported directly from Japan, Perla has fused the rigor of a documentalist with the sensitivity of an artisan. Each bag is the result of that "BOOM!" of destiny that turns a pause into a creative venture.
